Рынок смартфонов расширяется в геометрической прогрессии. Практически каждый месяц хотя бы одна крупная компания показывает значимую новинку. Не отстают и производители третьего эшелона, насыщая рынок самыми разными моделями. Определенную популярность снискали так называемые фаблеты – огромные смартфоны, позволяющие с комфортом потреблять контент. Их в своем модельном ряду в 2017 году имеет практически каждая компания, производящая смартфоны. Фаблеты – что это?
Что и неудивительно, слово «фаблет» пришло к нам из английского языка – phablet. Поучилось оно после слияния двух других понятий – phone (телефон) и tablet (планшет). То есть, делаем вывод, что фаблет – устройство, которое объединяет качества сразу двух других девайсов. Они крупнее смартфонов, но меньше планшетов. Однако размеры телефонов, причисляемых к фаблетам, постоянно меняются. Несколько лет назад смартфон с диагональю 5 дюймов уже относился к их числу. Сегодня же модель подобных габаритов считаются компактными, а к фаблетам принадлежать решения с экраном более 5.5 дюймов.
Стоит также отметить, что гаджеты с диагональю более 6.9-7 дюймов уже считаются планшетами. Очень вероятно, что в скором времени этот порог изменится, так как активно развиваются безрамочные экраны, что позволяет производителям создавать огромные смартфоны, которые по размеру экрана будут сопоставимы с планшетами, но за счет небольших рамок вокруг, будут оставаться довольно компактными.
Чем фаблеты отличаются от смартфонов? Да ничем, собственно, кроме более крупных размеров. Чем фаблеты отличаются от планшетов? Помимо более компактных габаритов, они в 100% случаев поддерживают работу с SIM-картами, в то время, как многие планшеты лишены этой возможности. Рынок планшетов сейчас переживает не лучшие времена, поэтому фаблеты очень актуальны.
Если говорить о плюсах фаблетов, то можно выделить существенный лишь один – размер. Многим подобного размеры смартфоны покажутся «лопатами». Другим же – идеальным компромиссом между смартфоном и планшетом. Потому размер в это же время является и плюсом.
